The AISI Committee on Framing Standards is a consensus group which maintains and updates the suite of cold-formed steel framing standards. These standards are referenced in AISI S100, which is the foundation for cold-formed steel design.
The mission of the Committee on Framing Standards is:
To eliminate regulatory barriers and increase the reliability and cost competitiveness of cold-formed steel framing through improved design and installation standards.
The Committee on Framing Standards consists of six subcommittees. These subcommittees fulfill the mission established by the Committee on Framing Standards by monitoring research works related to cold-formed steel framing design, and providing recommendations for developing and improving design provisions in the cold-formed steel framing standards.
